We took the children to visit Gettysburg this year, taking along a copy of Joseph's diary and reading the portions about Gettysburg at each location. It was a great trip!  We were able to locate all 3 monuments easily, and I will post directions to each as soon as I get a chance.

Heather Truckenmiller, the 3rd great granddaughter of  Joseph Lumbard, and her 4 children, his 4th great grandchildren.

At the Pa monument, Company G, stand facing the monument from the  signs and bench (to the left  in the above photo). Now walk to the left hand side, and you will find the 147th almost in the middle.
